The National Commission for Civic Education has organised an inter-party dialogue for political parties and the Electoral commission in the Bole District of Savannah Region on Tuesday 10th, October 2024.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi fm, the programs director for the National Commission for Civic Education in the Bole District Mr. Sumani Alidu said the program is the second phase of their dialogue with the political parties,electoral commission,Media,Clergy,Chiefs,Muslim Community,Youth,District Assembly,etc.
He said anytime we are getting close to elections, the NCCE will have such programs to educate the you to be advocates of peace to make there is violence free in the upcoming elections.
Mr. Sumani Alidu added that their aim for Inter-party dialogue is to make there is peace before,during and after the 2024 elections.
He added that we are one people and because of unemployment, so people can take advantage of that to sponsor a section of tye youth to cause violence in the community because he has money.
He said if there is no peace today in Ghana, we have to all remain in Ghana and suffer because there is no peace in neighbouring countries like Burkina Faso,Togo,Cote d'ivoire,etc.
He further said they invited all the political parties to discuss about peace and the importance of peace and why one should not cause violence and the consequences of violence in this elections year.
