The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District participated in the 2nd edition of the Savannah Regio Basic Schools Inter District Sports Festival hosted by Bole last week from 23rd-26th August 2023. The tournament had been postponed on several occasions due to financial challenges encountered by various districts.
But for the timely intervention of Hon. Banasco Seidu Nuhu,STK District wouldn't have been able to take part in this year's competition. He donated an undisclosed amount to the team to be able to make the trip after an appeal to some individuals and stakeholders.
Hon Banasco also visited the team before the competition to give them words of encouragement and after a keenly fought contest, the contingent wishes to express its heart felt appreciation to the Hon. Member for the support and wish him well in all his endeavours.
