NPP vice presidential candidate, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has charged the Damongo constituency to retain the NPP and Samuel Abu Jinapor as the member of parliament for the Damongo since he has done lot to change the Damongo constituency.
Addressing party faithfuls in Larabanga during his one day visit to the Constituency, Dr Opoku Prempeh indicated that politics is all about the betterment of the lives of the people and that is exactly what the NPP and Samuel Abu Jinapor is bringing to the constituency.
He said Larabanga made him an MP in his constituency after he had visited the ancient mosque in 2003.
He charged Muslims not to vote the NDC since it is Haram to do so explaining that the NDC made sure everything for Muslims put together by the NPP under former President Kuffour were scratched including payment of Islamic teachers etc.
"If you are a Muslim and you vote for NDC, it is haram" he said.
The member of parliament for the Damongo Constituency, Samuel Abu Jinapor on the other hand mentioned all that he has done for the Larabanga Community and asked for another term as MP for the Damongo constituency on 7th December 2024.
He mentioned the maternity ward, Astro turf, classroom blocks etc as some of the achievements in his first term in office and declared the Damongo constituency a “world bank” and “secured” zone for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“I want to assure our incoming Vice President, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh that Damongo constituency is secured. It is secured for the NPP in 2024, 2028, 2032, 2036 and will continue to be a stronghold of the NPP,” Jinapor stated, amid applause from hundreds of supporters.
Mr Jinapor highlighted Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s achievements, including the successful implementation of the Free SHS program and tackling of dumsor.
