| Buipewura Jinapor II |
Paramount chief of the Buipe traditional area and vice president of the national house of chiefs Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II has donated 100 bags of cement to the Gbewa Palace Palace as part of his contribution towards the construction of the new Gbewa Palace in Yendi.
These was in fulfillment of the promise of the Buipewura to support the Ya Naa with the 100 bags of cement after the Dagbon overlord had told him about the construction of the new palace during his recent visit to the Gbewa Palace to thank the chiefs and people of Dagbon for their support during the his election into office as the vice president of the national house of chiefs.
Receiving the bags of cement, Mr Alhassan Abdul Fatawu, secretary to the Ya Naa thanked the Buipewura for swiftly fulfilling his pledge just some few days after his visit to the Gbewa Palace. He said the people of Dagbon are very grateful for the support and used the opportunity to appeal to other bodies for more support towards the completion of the project.
The construction of new Gbewa Palace that is ongoing forms part of a 10-year stArategic development plan for Dagbon.
The new palace comprises of various structures and facilities, including the office of the Dagbon Traditional Council and many others.
