Abu Jinapor Donates Towards Reconstruction Of The Damongo Central Mosque

 


Member of parliament for the Damongo constituency Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has donated 100 bags of cement and a cash amount of Ghc20,000 towards the reconstruction of the Damongo Central Mosque.

Former DCE for the West Gonja Municipal Hon. Karim Musah Kusubari, who on behalf of the MP presented the cement and cash amount to the leadership of the Mosque indicated that an appeal for support was brought before the MP when he had Iftar last weekend in his family house in Damongo which he promised to support them in the course of the week. 

A member of the reconstruction committee,Chief Baba who received the support on behalf of the Savannah Regional chief Imam thanked the MP for responding very quickly to them and used the opportunity to appeal to the general public,both far and near to help either in cash or in kind for the project to be completed. 

He said the mosque is targeted to be rebuilt into  a storey building in order to be able to contain the population of the Muslim Umah and also befit the status of a regional mosque since Damongo is the regional capital of the Savannah Region.

He further indicated that every penny contributed for the building of the mosque by any individual is testament of helping to put together the house of Allah which will end up in a very big reward for the one who contributed.
