Paramount chief of the Kong Traditional Area Kongwura Adamu Seidu Jinkurge has made a passionate appeal to the government for the construction of the road network in his traditional area.
Addressing hundreds of people gathered at Kong to celebrate his 10th anniversary as the chief of the area on 28th September,2025, Kongwura Adamu Jinkurge mentioned further the lack of electricity to his traditional area as well as poor telecommunication network in the area.
He further used the opportunity to remind everybody present about his personal contribution towards the health sector in the area through the provision of 30 delivery beds for the polyclinic at Gindabo.
On the part of education,he mentioned about an educational fund known as the Kongwura educational fund which has so far sponsored 25 needy but brilliant students of different ethnic backgrounds in the area and called on philanthropists to support the fund since it's long term plan is to support students in the area who aspire to pursue courses in law, medicine and engineering both locally and abroad.
Paramount chief of the Buipe traditional area and vice president of the national house of chiefs, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II who was the chairman of the Kongwura 10th anniversary celebration in a speech indicated that in the Savannah Region, diversity climaxes comforts the people in harmony anchored on the principle of coexistence where they find their greattes pride as a people, adding that that unity must jealousy guarded and protected always.
He went further to remind the people of Kong that peace is the most priceless treasure and the bedrock for sustainable progress, without it,the visions of the Savannah Region will scatter like harmattan.
Deputy Minister for lands and natural resources and member of Parliament for the Bole- Bamboi constituency Alhaji Yussif Sulemana who represented the President assured the Kongwura that he has his son as the President of the Republic of Ghana and should be rest assured every problem facing the Kong Traditional Area would soon be a thing of the past.
He also in the area of peace advocated for unity in the area and called for respect amongst settlers and the chiefs for development to take place in the area since without peace, there can never be development.
