The member of parliament for the Damongo constituency Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has supported in donating a total amount of $2000 towards the heart surgery of 17year old Miss Titiaka Mustapha Alimatu who was recently diagnosed with a severe heart condition that requires immediate surgical intervention.
Doctors have confirmed that without this surgery, Miss Titiaka Mustapha Alimatu faces severe health risks that could be life-threatening.
The Damongo MP made the donation during the recent Gonjaland Youth Association symposium held over the weekend in Accra.
According to relatives of the victim,due to the high cost of the procedure and the associated medical expenses, the family is unable to bear the financial burden alone.
"We have managed to raise a portion of the required amount, but we still need an additional Three Thousand Five Hundred US Dollars (3,500 USD) to cover the full costs of the surgery and post-operative care", a relative of the family indicated.
Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor after he was confronted by the leadership of the GLYA quickly made the donation to help save the life of the victim.
Meanwhile,Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has further donated Ghc10,000 to the Damongo branch of Gonjaland Youth Association for their preparation towards the annual Gonjaland Youth Association congress slated to take place in Sawla over the weekend.
